There’s going to be a new addition to the household next month and his name’s Ralphie. I met him a couple of weeks ago and fell in love.
No, I’m not kicking out my other half or being unfaithful – we’re getting a puppy! His bed is ready and waiting for him, his name’s down for puppy training classes, he’s registered at the vets and he has a range of chew toys just waiting to be chomped and sucked and dragged across the floor.
Ralphie’s a Cocker Spaniel (just like my childhood dog Henri) and I can’t wait to bring him home in July so he can find his feet (or should I say paws) with us. Puppy proofing has already begun and it’ll be interesting to see how he gets on with the wooden floorboards. Bambi on ice springs to mind.
